Burn On Demand means neither you nor I have to invest money in a print run of inventory of CDs of your album of music, poetry, commentary, stories, or whatever you would like people to listen to, in order for you to have your CD available to be ordered online and delivered by mail. Marketing and promoting are still pretty much up to you, but we handle the hardware to give you a real product to promote, and we handle the software to give you the means to do it.

This will get more detailed as we learn, develop, and progress, but at this stage in our development, here's the deal:

If you have an existing album, perhaps you once had a run printed, and you have only a couple of them left, or a set of completed audio files that can be copied to create an audio program on CD, or a set of tapes with readings, we can create a BOD (burn on demand) Audyofyl edition CD, and offer that for mail-order sale on our Audyofyl website. We charge a hopefully-reasonable set-up fee, offer other services as we are able, and pay a hopefully-generous royalty.

Though subject to change upon a capricious mood, the initial set-up charge at this time is $45.00. For this, you get (1) a case cover designed, using your artwork if you have it -- the disc label is standardized. (2) a webpage on the Audyofyl website describing the product, offering a sample sound track, and a link to a purchase page; (3) a link to your page on Audyofyl's advertising, product index, and order forms; (4) a link to your page on the myspace/audyofyl audyoblog, and a bulletin announcement of your CD; (5) an URL banner you can put on other websites, or use in emails pointing to your page. You may advertise your page any way you can. Most important, your CD is available to be ordered by mail online from everywhere, at a competitive price that pays you a good royalty.

Other services we might be able to provide might likely include work needed to prepare your project in the form of completed audio files. That might include recording, taking tracks from some pre-recorded medium like tape, or sound quality editing. What is needed, whether we can do it, and what would be charged are things we can determine on an individual basis.

For a single CD property, like an album, Audyofyl (dba a division of PostPubCo Inc) charges $9.50, which includes all US shipping, handling, inventory, and tax. The prices of multi-CD properties like audio-books are individually determined. Audyofyl takes the orders, and PostPubCo responsibly accounts for the sales, pays all expenses and NM state tax, and burns, labels, and mails the CDs; PPC pays the copyright holder -- that is, you -- a royalty of 17% of the sale price -- that is $1.50 per single-CD album sold. This will be paid quarterly, if such royalty is at least $25.00; if not, it is carried over to the next quarter.

This agreement is non-exclusive; that is, it does not restrict you in other ways you might market this material. If Capitol decides to pick you up, good for you, we're glad you got a start here. PostPubCo Inc does not own any copyright whatsoever in your property, other than the mechanical rights to duplicate and sell these CDs as described, and we may not enter into any agreement whatsoever with any third party with respect to it. You may terminate the agreement any time you want to, and Audyofyl will cease making your property available through our website.
